HuangMajor: Psychology (Industrial-Organizational)Degree: Master of Arts Bridging recent developments in personality changes and contextualizedpersonality, the current research focuses on changes in contextualized personality andtheir impact on cross-cultural adjustment. Findings revealed that contextualizedExtraversion provided incremental validity in predicting context-related outcomes (i.e., cross-cultural adjustment) above and beyond global Extraversion. Although nosignificant changes were revealed regarding contextualized Extraversion, individualcharacteristics (i.e., cultural flexibility and cross-cultural motivation) negatively predictedindividual differences in the rate of contextualized Extraversion changes. Implicationsand limitations were discussed.
